Basement remodelling and refurb, bespoke kitchen and furniture
The basement housing the kitchen and dining area was quite dark and awkwardly laid out. We worked with the clients to design a new layout that opened up the interior, repositioned the kitchen and allowed more light to come in through a large glass door opening out on to the back garden.
A new heating system and electrical wiring were installed and we sanded and resealed the beautiful parquet flooring, restoring it to its former glory.
Our bespoke joinery team worked closely with the clients to create a design that suited their exact requirements; they had seen a kitchen they liked online and wanted to adapt the look. We installed Quartz worktops and new handle-less cabinets sprayed with the client’s chosen paint colour. A large, bespoke storage unit in the dining area was made from the same distinctive wood design used as a trim around the kitchen units, neatly linking the two areas together.
One of the reasons Get Turner was selected for the project was because we found a solution to fitting a large pivot glass door in a seemingly impossible space. Using a single-panel door allowed the most light to come into the basement and the patterned encaustic tiled patio in the garden adds a stylish feature to look out onto.
“The best thing about working with Mark and his team was not only the level of detail, beginning with the quote and then running throughout the entire build, but also the communication. Not only was everybody friendly and helpful, but whenever there were decisions that needed to be made or issues arising from the build there was always someone on the end of the phone. So we always felt reassured – that we were on top of things and knew exactly where the project was at any given time.”
